Not a promising start, but fixable

So on Tuesday I started to learn programming. It's pretty awesome stuff. So far, all I can do is get the computer to print a text string into a text document from command-line, but it's still pretty exciting.

The unfortunate side effect that apparently came with messing with my computer, was that later, after a game of scrabble, I woke it back up, and it suddenly decided to start going super freaking slow, and lagging like nobody's business. We spent two hours yesterday trying to figure out the cause, and can't. Andy thinks my harddrive might be broken in some way, like freezing up or something, and that I really need to do some reformatting. Which would be great if I knew where all my stuff was. Since I don't, I'm stuck with this thing, and working very hard not to turn it into a discus to throw down the hall.

Also, my body is firmly rebelling against the course nature has set for it. Seriously, nobody likes this, but there's no reason to add sickness to the normal list of symptoms. It's mean and uncalled for, and it woke me up, which has made me cranky.

But whining aside, I get to go out for lunch at the Japanese place with old friends from highschool, and that will be awesome. Also, A flies in tomorrow! It's going to be beyond awesome.

And now, I should go try and find food, to see how that venture goes.
