I just found out that one of the people who was at the birthday party I went to the other weekend was killed in a car accident this morning.
I didn't really know him at all; we met for the first time that night. But he was a really nice kid, and I miss him, despite hardly knowing him. And I can't imagine how hard it must be for his close friends and family.
Things can change so fast. It's incredibly sobering.
