A brief book update

Dec 26, 2007 01:45

I'd planned to just do this after I finished the book, but there were a few things worth noting, so I just had to.

Reading "The Mists of Avalon," because the library had it available on download, and it was the first book I could get.

I don't actually care that much about the main characters in general, but Vivian, lady of the Lake, is so very awesome. sobdasha here we have one of your string pulling women in power; she's brilliant.

Talking to the king:
"As high as we set you on your throne, that low can we bring you."
"Would you really do all that for a girl, who isn't even royal blood?"
"Test me."

She's just the height of awesome, and deserved an entry of her own, because she's a complete medler, and I love her like I love Shigure...except for one minute she seems totally trustworthy, and the next she's dumping everyone's lives upside down to keep fate in it's proper order.
She's got the whole "for the greater good" motif going strong, and I love it.

So, as of now, she makes the book win. We'll see how it goes as reading continues.
