Is it really the end of April?
Time has been extremely strange for the whole of the past year but this April seems to have sped by. It has been unusually cold and very dry but it has meant the daffodils and tulips in my garden have lasted longer, though I noticed just in time that the flowers in tubs needed water before they keeled over and died of thirst. We really need some rain, but preferably not when I'm out in it. With a Bank Holiday Monday in the offing traditionally it should pour with rain, so we will see if the weather does its usual Bank Holiday thing or will that be strange like the rest of the year.

29. Have you ever been in a car accident?
Yes. Rather oddly it was at the top of the road we now live in. My mother was about to turn into the petrol station that used to be there when someone drove straight into the back of us. As the car was red and white and the road was quite clear it is hard to know how he didn't see us. Luckily no-one was hurt but the rather elderly car was written off. We also had a white van sway into us on the M6, take off our wing mirror and drive on.
30. Have you ever been on an island?
As I live on an island I will go with the spirit of the question and ignore the mainland of the UK and Ireland. I have been on the Isle of Wight; Guernsey, Herm and Sark; Caldey Island; Anglesey; Mull, Staffa, Iona and the Isle of Skye. If we go further than the UK I've been on Mallorca, Sicily, Capri and Aegina and possibly a few more I've forgotten about. I've also been on the North and South Islands of New Zealand. I like islands.
