We've only been away two days...

...but it feels like two weeks! Back from distinctly unsunny Lincolnshire where the weather gave new meaning to the word grey. M-in-L seems reasonable settled in the home, which is very good, and she now has a new TV (the one the home provided didn't work very well); a new radio (her elderly friend dropped her old one) and a new sim card in my old mobile phone (not really worth buying a new phone as she's very unlikely to use it much). We're shattered from all the shopping and then explaining how to use the various new gadgets!

Anything exciting been happening here - new fic, new essays, new kerfuffles? Tell me all because I'm too worn out to look.
