Try, Try Again

I feel I did pretty well today.
I brought my healthy food and didn't eat any snacks from the kitchen, except for a bag of pretzels that was only 100 calories. But no junk food. And I was actually busy all day today, which is how I'd like to be every day, and so I didn't have time to get bored and think about food. Days like today remind me that most of my snacking is only out of boredom, because obviously I don't need it.

I'm not feeling 100% well, I can tell I'm getting sick, so I skipped the gym and did a 30 minute video at home, a new one that came with the resistance band I bought. It's a great toning workout, awesome for the lower body. Probably could have cut out some of what I ate for dinner, but it's all about baby steps.

I'm trying to take weight loss one week at a time, rather than one month or even one day. A week goes by so quickly that it's easier to stick with something, and the weeks add up quickly. So every week I make a goal for myself -- this week it is to workout everyday. Whether that is an hour at the gym or just the 8 Min Abs DVD, every little bit counts. And setting super high goals like that means that even if I only make it half way, I've still done something good.

I'm feeling lazy and my throat has that weird sickness feeling, so I'm going to drink my tea and make the invitations for my birthday.
