Last night the water taps on my bathroom sinked spontaneously switched.
As the hour of 3 am was approaching, I was making ready to wash my face and get ready for bed. I normally use just cold water as I find it quite refreshing; however, last night was rather chilly so I turned on the hot water just a bit in addition to the steady stream of cold water coming out. I stuck my hands under the water and OUCH! THAT'S HOT! I turned down the hot water and OH MY GOD IT'S HOTTER! I turned off the hot water completely...still FUCKING HOT. I turned off the water altogether. Then made sure I was actually turning on the tap with the big fat C on it. I was. Tested the water...hot as fuck. Turned off the "cold" water and on the "hot" water. Nice and cold.
Needless to say, I was a bit confused. I didn't realize water could just up and change which tap it came out of. It had been behaving normally earlier that day. Why the sudden change? I think I somehow got stuck in the Opposite bit on You Can't Do That on Television.
This morning the shower seemed particularly hot, no matter where I turned the little knob.
Just now I used the facilities and washed my hands...the water is back to normal. At least for now.
I simply do not understand.
