(no subject)
So it has been a long while since I've wrote in this. It has been 3 months since Dan has been in Iraq. It is so hard to be strong for him and us, but I believe it will make us both stronger in the end. He's already gotten hit by 2 IED's and luckily he's ok but really shaken up. I try not to watch the news & follow the war but how can I not when someone I care about is over there?
Classes are slowly coming to an end- just about 2 weeks of school left. I can't wait.... I am getting so sick of it already. Dec 14- Jan 22 is going to be one sweet break.
Dad & I went to Cicero today. My mom's favorite cousin Bill was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a couple months ago & he is slowly going downhill. I thought it'd be nice to get my dad out of the house for a while and since we're such experts in dealing with long term illnesses, he could offer some comfort and words of advice to Deanna, Bill's wife. We didn't stay for longer than a couple hours but it was nice to sit and chat and reminisce. On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrell and ate. I had a BLT salad and let me tell you, it was heaven. It was funny just to sit and watch everyone in the resteraunt- everyone is so different.
Well I just wanted to provide a quick update on life since I know I haven't in a while.
