Misc everything
Been a while since I've updated so here goes:
1. the job progresses well. I still don't have an office but they are working on it - I'm the dept's first diabled member of staff and whilst they are wulling they are also rather ignorant. I'm working on that. But loads of grab rails and stair rails have to be put in for me and a room full of boxes cleared out for me before I can get in and really get going. So mostly working from home at the mo - but thats no great hardship.
2. the holiday is booked - really looking forward to a long weekend on a canal boat in Rugby with Marilyn. Should be really relaxing and fun
3. Ewan is doing his first full morning at nursery this morning. Dropped him off at about 7.45am and Dan will pick him up at 12.30pm. He was fine immediately he was there, so left him happily playing, and haven't had any phone calls to say he even noticed I'd gone :-) He really enjoyed yeaterday when he went for a couple of hours to try it out so I doubt we'll have any real problems.
4. Finally an invite to people to come and celebrate Dan's 31st birthday. Either the last weekend of Oct (27-28) or first of Nov (3-4). We didn't really celebrate his 30th last year because of the choas of having Ewan and also I was fairly shaky at the time so it would be good if some people could make it up to South Shields this year. We do admit to a small ulterior motive as well - we have a back yard full of junk that needs to go into a skip and a few extra pairs of hands would make light work of that. So do let us know what your thoughts are. Good food, quite a few beds, sandy beaches, and Ewan to play with on offer :-)
