Yes, that's right, any rumours about my demise were extremely premature, if not outright blasphemy. I have been completely snowed under with thesis and the writing of my second book, but of late I have found time for other things. Hopefully this include rather more LJ in the future.

Ah, this is definitely the life! At this moment, thanks to the wonder of frequent flyer points, I’m sitting on the upper deck of a Boeing 747 high above the Caspian Sea. I have been a super-productive bunny this weekend! I have rewritten one chapter of my thesis (16,000+ words) and done major work on another (6,000+ words) for a meeting on Wednesday leading up to a bit presentation to my panel in mid-November ( Read more... )

Actually, I'm doing pretty well. I was asleep by 10.30pm and, apart from being awake for an hour at 3am, slept until 9.05am.

When the doorbell rang.

And the dog barked.

And I swore.

Back in London, having had my flight delayed by 10 mins due to stupid people. However I did breeze through passport control at Heathrow. Due to the fact that I was using a different airline, and because I couldn't be bothered trying to explain the situation in Berlin (which would have meant queuing for ages to check in my bags) I had to go back ( Read more... )
