kat's big adventure
i'm having one of those days where if i had consulted my fortune teller it would have told me not to leave the house today. not that i got my bike stolen or anything. it's just that i had to come back to the house 3 times before i could actually leave to run my many errands. and i went to crossroads with about 1/3 of my clothes (and y'know, i've got a walk-in closet, a dresser, and i make good use of the hall closet, so that's a lot) to have them take 6 items for $13.12, which they will sell them for $37.50. i felt like keith knight when he talked about how embarrassing it was to have someone assess and reject your fashion tastes for the last ten years (although, i haven't had most of that stuff quite that long). then i hauled the rest to good will where i almost decided to go through it all and keep some previously rejected stuff, butt no, i controlled myself and dumped it all. and when no one was looking i took one of their cardboard boxes.
ooh, in other, exciting news, i picked up my last paycheck which was larger than i expected and lo and behold i got paid out for vacation hours i didn't even know i had! hooray. that makes up for about half the money i was forced to give to the damn union. (not that i'm anti-union, i'm just anti-forced-to-be-part-of-a-union-i-don't-want.)
i keep sneezing twice in a row and no one kisses me.
