Things have been a bit shit. The headache I have from my neck being tight hasn't gone away for over a week.
There is a massive pressure system coming through and the it's blowing a gale out there. The air pressure is really causing me a lot of pain. I'm not sleeping well at all and there's just nothing I can do about it.
My stomach has been a mess since I was on the patches. I'm in pain with gripes every day and having to dash to the loo all the time.
I've decided to give up dairy for a few days. Mum's doctor told her to lay off it and she thinks it's helped. God I want a cup of tea though. I'm really hoping that if I'm careful with what I eat my stomach will sort itself out and I can have cheese again. Most everything else I could give up easily but cheese. >_< I really don't need to add more things to the stuff I can't eat while I'm out though. I really wont be left with much.

So I'm tired and very sore and my joints feel really unstable. I've been reading some amazing fic though and I've been painting. Should have been working on the three or four fests I've got to do but instead I spent all fucking day painting Charles and Erik snuggling in bed. I'm happy with it though.
Must repost it here and link to it on the comms.

The other night I read What Happens Next Is Up To You by misswinterhill. It was based on an Ursula LeGuin’s story The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
Originally for a kinkmeme prompt that asked for an AU of Ursula LeGuin’s story The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, in which a prosperous city flourishes because of the abuse of one child. Inhabitants of the city are shown the horrifically imprisoned child when they come of age, and they make the choice to stay, knowing what their happiness and prosperity is founded upon, or they walk away and leave the city and its secret behind. The prompter asked for Charles to be the child, and for Erik to take him away. Set some time after this occurs, and reconfigured for the X-Men Fairy Tales challenge on LJ, in that it contains significant elements of the myth in which a character meets a traveller or travellers on the road, who later turn out to be angels or other supernatural beings.

It does use some X-Men First Class characters but you can totally read it without knowing who they are. Read the original short story first.
It is amazing. I love this sort of myth. It's really stuck with me.

Unfortunatly after spending so long capped last month we went a bit nuts once we ticked over and loaded a couple of youtube vids and I was on tumblr etc and then we downloaded Doctor Who and we are well over half way through our downloads for the month already >_< So no more tumblr or youtube. No idea how long we'll make it before we're capped this month.

If I didn't think it would totally make me even more sick I'd drive to Ruth's mum's place and stay there with the dogs for two nights and download all the things and then drive home.

This wind is probably blowing all the blossom off the trees and I haven't had the energy to go out and take proper photos. Spring, you're a bit of shit. Stop kicking my arse.
