History Boys - more Scripps/Posner drabbles
Hopefully my HP-fandom friends can forgive this little digression into History Boys-dom. Here are some more drabbles for 13drabbles. Again, no summaries because these are quite short. They're in vaguely chronological order and can be thought to be in the same universe as the last set (though they all stand alone as well)

He steals glances at the nude magazines from over Dakin's shoulder, ignoring his jibes, and not admitting that he doesn't understand the attraction. He stares at Fiona as she walks by, her breasts bouncing slightly in her tight sweater, but still there is nothing. It isn't until he catches a glimpse of Posner lifting his shirt over his head as he changes for PE and the pale expanse of skin that becomes visible (and becomes immediately hard) that he realizes he's been going about this completely the wrong way. He's been entirely blind to what's right in front of him.

Only once they've done away with every stitch of clothing, including their socks, does Posner allow himself to really look at Scripps. He's seen bits and pieces of Scripps over the years - it can hardly be avoided when changing before PE - but never all of him at once, unabashedly naked.
"Alright?"
Posner looks up, realizing too late he's staring. "Yes," he says, bending to press a kiss to Scripps' knee. "Yes." He kisses higher up on the inside of his thigh, then higher still into places he's never had the pleasure of getting to know before. "Yes," Scripps gasps.

The bar is dim, crowded and veiled in smoke. Posner almost decides to give up on finding Scripps - he feels overdressed in his blazer anyway - when there is the deliberate brush of a hand against his and a murmured, "hey there stranger." He can't help the smile that comes to his face but quickly stifles it. "Of all the bars in Britain, you had to come to the darkest, smokiest -" He stops when he feels a hand on his arse. He can practically hear the grin in Scripps' voice when he says, "it does have its uses."

The tension between them is so palpable that even Timms is looking back and forth between them, an unspoken question waiting on his tongue. They still go out to pubs over the holidays but the conversation is stilted, and even awkward. It isn't until Dakin pulls them aside and hisses at them to pull themselves together and just shag already that they look at each other and finally admit to themselves (if not to each other - not yet) what they've been missing.
