When I was growing up I used to bake a lot of cookies for my family.  I couldn't hear the oven timer ring if I was upstairs so somehow the word "IT" shouted loudly came to mean the timer had rung to signal the cookies were done.  To this day if someone in my now (greatly enlarged and scattered) family shouts "IT", we all know that means the oven ( Read more... )
