Yesterday counts as slightly working, in that the lovely queenortart came for a fitting, and we were joined for lunch by ravenrigan.  I made broccoli and cheese soup.

There has been a busy...

Things had got in a bit of a muddle, and I needed to do a Grand Clear Up.  It all had to be done by mid afternoon on Friday, when the guests were arriving...

Several loads of STUFF got boosted into the loft.

I am TRYING to declutter, clean up, and simplify my possessions on order to make...  Well, order.  And better use of the space we have.  I'm trying to make enough 'away' so that anything not in use or needing to be on display (like pictures, and ornaments - and I'd like those all in a glass cabinet!) has a place and can be put away...

With ravenrigan trying to move down here out of London, and looking for houses, I spent an idle sleepless night (thank you fibro and IBS combined!) looking at 4 bedroom houses in this area.  I could move.  But to get the size of house I want, I'd end up in one of those 1970's housing estates, or just round the corner from where we moved out of.  ( Read more... )

The sewing room still looks a right ile mess, but!

I dragged out the bag of silk bits from last summer, sorted through it and added the real scraps to the rag bag.  The small bits and a little left over organza will go in the reticules etc. box of stash, which can then go in the loft. and the larger bit of red silk will get rolled on top of the ( Read more... )

Japan: I spin the internal prayer wheel and hope.  Words fail...

Fibro: Been moderately ghastly, but that was to be expected.  Still jumping...  Hands like flippers with claws today.  Total exhaustion yesterday meant nothing got done.  I'll need to catch up.  Bums...
