Had the second visit to the endodontist today. I'm back in the chair with the whole 'rubber dam, tooth clamp and suction device' stuff going on and he says, conversationally " I'm going to have to melt the gutta-percha, so you will see some smoke coming out of your mouth." And I did. Very strange, to say the least. But not painful, thanks to the novocaine. But I still have a little aftertaste of the stuff...not bad, just weird.
In better news..the son and DIL have a signed contract from the buyers of their house. Now they can start looking in the other Columbus for a place to live. (What are the odds that you would move from Columbus [in the south] to Columbus [in the north]?) And the buyers don't have a house they're hoping to sell in order to finance the purchase of this one. Prayers answered, I must say.
The SuperTwins had their first birthday last week. C-Bear ate all of her cake, licked her fingers and looked around for more, according to her Dad. Bruiser, her brother, didn't seem quite as interested in his cake. But he's started walking, so watch out!
I have a pan of cake-like brownies in the oven. The second batch, because genius here forgot to put the oil in the first batch until I'd poured it into the pan. Trust me, you can't just pour the oil into the pan and try and mix it up. Didn't work. So I scraped it all out and went to the grocery for some more mix. It was our 38th wedding anniversary on the 23rd, and I decided I wanted brownies instead of cake. The Mr. doesn't really care one way or the other, so he'll be happy to see them when he wakes up.
We had some pretty serious weather rumble through last night. I was at work, and at 7:00pm it looked like it was already 10:00 pm. Thankfully, we only got some rain and wind out of it and by 8:30pm had a nice rainbow to the east.
Time to go and have some dinner, so I can get this taste out of my mouth!
