Things to freak out about today
1) I believe it's bad that the banquet director for my mother's milestone birthday surprise party is both scatter-brained and not detail-oriented. After I carefully spelled out my email address, even giving her my private alum account rather than the more complicated general use account, she called back to make sure it is foobar@alum.mit.edu.com? *bangs head on desk*
2) I just re-read the email sent out regarding today's bridal shower. First off, most events I have to bring business cards to have at least some intellectual content - this is a bridal shower. We're going to giggle over bloody presents. *sighs* Moreover, I just found out I'm going to see a different former co-worker there, the one who was always stressed and always grumpy. Just great.
By comparison, this morning's race should be cake.
