R.I.P., beloved computer.

As the subject suggests, my computer died last week in a very tragic virus-catching incident. It...well...doesn't do anything anymore. I loved that machine, seriously, and I'm pissed at myself for never backing anything up over the course of six years. But, to be honest, it was six years old, and it was certainly showing signs of aging. I've been kind of looking for an excuse to replace it for a while.

So, now, the difficult part is saving up the $600 to buy the computer I want. Gah. In the meantime, I'm using my parents' computer out in the living room, which is pretty awkward when my mom keeps looking over to see what I'm doing. (Honestly, I don't remember her caring this much when I was 13 and we first got AOL. Come on, now. I just want to be a fandom geek in peace.) I probably won't be on nearly as much as I used to be. Ah, well.

In other nifty news, my sister got engaged! She and her fiance aren't planning on getting married for at least another year, but the way everyone goes on about it, you'd think they were getting hitched next week. It is kind of fun to think about, though. Our family is so small that the last wedding was our cousin's about eight years ago. ...Yeah. Good times.

I hope everyone is doing well!
