It has been a while.
So, I realize it's been almost a year since I have posted anything in here. But I decided that since, I'm living in Bourbonnais and can't use aim and don't have much time to fill everyone in on my life I will update it here. Although I know only a handful of my friend check this, oh well I need to write anyhow.
So, today I moved to Bourbonnais for Training Camp. Not going to lie it feels like freshman year all over again, complete with the goofy lanyards and awkwardness. However, my freshman year at Bradley did not start out with a drunken night out at the bars like today has been.
I arrived around noon, we took a campus tour and then started setting up training camp. Then I moved into my dorm which is like an apartment almost. There are 3 rooms that share a bathroom, but I have my own room which is super sweet. Although when my roommate and I were showering to go out tonight, I was stuck in a puddle of water b/c it didn't drain and she used out friends shower and the water just stopped all of the sudden. Hopefully that will be taken care of tomorrow.
The food here is amazing. hopefully I wont come home looking like a football player. Not going to lie though, the choices for dinner tonight were steak, grilled chicken, turkey, stir fry with sides including mashed potatoes and asparagus. Luckily, there is a Cardinal Fitness right up the block which I belong to so I can work off all the food I'll be eating here. It's so much better than any cafeteria that I've eaten at AND. today when I went to get a bottle of water, Rex Grossman was standing next to me. I almost freaked out. I saw Lovie today along with a bunch of players at dinner tonight.
Tonight the "of-agers" went to this bar called T.J.'s. My friend Jen made friends with the bartender and got us all sorts of free pitchers of beer and about 4 rounds of shots. Good times all around.
I'm super excited to start working tomorrow when all the fans get here. I have a feel it's going to be crazy, but I think I"m going to have a blast here the next 3 weeks. Hope everyone is doing well. Take care.
