saturday night i had a tight schedule of parties to attend. of my way to the the third one i banged into this nice blue jaguar car and SLIGHTLY dinged the fender trying to park. well, i left a note and even took some pictures b/ ci had my camera and braced myself for an angry call. well sunday at like 10am i get a call and beofre i answer i psych myself up for it. my cell phone says the number is unknown but i know i have to answer it anyway and be an adult ettc etc... i say, "hello this is Kate" my standard businessy greeting, and then ,it is the fucking Scripss Alumna office trying to sell me an alumnae directory for like $8-. hell fucking no bitch, everyone i want to keep in touch with i do, or can find.
ok, so soon my heart rate returns to normal, i go out runs soem errands, finda great cheap couch at a thrift store, that can even be delivered, and also a nice suitcase which i have needed ever since mine was robbed from storage like 3 years ago.
so then today at work, another call comes on my cell and it's now a chicago area code but a number i don't know. i get ready to answer the call from an angry car owner, when it turns out to be the guy who will be delivering my sofa today setting up a time to come by.
ahhh! i hate having this hanging over my head. what is the statute of limitations on something like this? is it possible that someone who cares enough to own an expensive car wouldn't care about a dent in the bumper? is it possible that my note got washed out in the rain?
