For today's recap, let's look at what the entertainment industry's up to these days.
I just found out today that Sylvester Stallone has pleaded guilty in Australia for drug charges. He brought in a muscle-building hormone called Jintropin that is banned without a drug permit and was found when airport personell did a luggage search back in February. Evidentally he ditched 4 vials of it a couple of days later when the police came to search his hotel. Now, I know Sylvester Stallone used to be (and still is, to an extent) quite the indimidating muscle-bound hunk... but answer me this, people: why does a 60-year-old need body-building drugs? Are we really that desparate to reclaim our youth and physique? I realize that we as Americans are so hacked on this drug-trip called vanity, but at what age does it stop? Or better yet... does it need to start at all?
Sly, you were stud back in the day. With age comes wisdom... be proud of it.
In other news, Paris Hilton is in the spotlight once again over her court sentencing on May 4th. She's scheduled to serve 45 days in jail for violating her DUI probation by driving with a suspended license. As if we haven't heard enough about Paris already, bam! Back in the news again. Her lawyers are filing an appeal, her publicist was blamed and then fired, and then... you'll never guess... Paris went shopping the next day. She's claiming it was unfair, but was it? You be the judge. I don't want to give this story more attention than it deserves. Why is Paris famous, again?
