Long time no post.
I'm working at the Army hospital and I luuuurve it. I love my coworkers, I love the position, it's a win/win/win situation. I will probably work there until I die, as long as they don't fire me any time in the next year (the length of my probation period).
My Army hospital job is M-F and I've been taking call at my Group Health job on Saturdays to keep up my delivery skills (since I don't get to do any baby catching at Madigan) and for the extra money. Unfortunately my contract with them runs out at the end of the month and they're too cheap to keep on locums. I'm looking forward to having more than one day off a week though I like the extra cash. Mamma's got school loans to pay.
The Mennonite and I broke up at the end of October. Good thing he broke up with me because he was on the chopping block that week unless he improved his behavior. Obviously he didn't. I've done some more dating, nobody super special. I'm kind of over it for the moment.
I've also started doing some counseling right before he and I broke up. It's been a revelation to work through some of my dead dad stuff, poor relationship habits, stuff I've never talked about with anyone. She's worth every penny.
I'm working my last call shift with Group Health today. Waiting on a biophysical profile to come back so I can send this lady home and get some shut-eye. I have less melancholy these days.
