The linguistics symposium went very well, and my paper on the phonetic organization of invented alphabets (ie, fun with Elvish) was well-attended. That and the paper abstract/proposal due the day before for Medieval Literary Theory meant I had about 2 hours of sleep in 3 days, and I kept almost nodding off in the panels

I am taking only carryon, or I would totally bring a multitool and fix your power cord for you.

Borrow one of dad's two laptops. Also, I'll have my PDA which gets wifi, in addition to my laptop.
