Day Three of Vacation
It is a rainy first day of September. There are flash flood watches or warnings until 2 pm tomorrow. I didn’t plan much of activities today.
Since it is Wednesday, I will do the house cleaning that needs doing. I haven’t really vacuumed the house in what seems like days. I would start it then something comes up or I get lazy.
Tonight is the Meetup at Hammonasset Beach. I wasn’t sure I could go because of the ladies guild Board meeting but sometime yesterday President Pat sent out an email cancelling the meeting for tonight and have our regular one next week?
I called the Pharmacy again. I wanted to check on the refill for prednisone for me. It’s ready. I am a little miffed that it takes two days to get it done. That being said I guess they had to check with the doctor.
I also called the nursing home today to check in with Activities Director Natalie. I want to say goodbye to her before she leaves the facility and to submit my vaccination card on file for them. Some may feel this isn’t right but I am willing to do it. I want to know if bingo is on for next week or not.
I still need to call the FMLA/insurance Company to check dates and get my AC number. They haven’t sent papers but they approved it for the next few months.
I also have to finish writing up my entries for the last couple of days and an email to Dr. T from yesterday. Well I guess I do have things planned.
It is now several hours since I started this entry. The others have not been completed yet but I have time yet.
I finally got in touch with Director Natalie. I will be doing bingo this weekend and will need to review dates with Recreation Bob. I will have to bring my vaccination card to have on file for them.
If I want to say goodbye to Natalie, I will need to call Natalie before I go to see her at the nursing home. She will have to come out of the building to chat with me. I am getting the feeling she really doesn’t want to do that because her last day is next Wednesday. I did ask her about her prospects and she has a few but hasn’t committed. She wants to retire in a few years and move down south.
It’s been raining on and off all afternoon and as a result tonight’s meetup was cancelled. I am glad because I was thinking of bailing because of the flash flood watches going at this time.
I made a big mess in the kitchen at lunch time. I was pulling out the oven rack that had the broiler of hamburgers and the broiler went on the floor and the rack landed on the door. I didn’t get burned but I still ate the hamburgers. ;) Wiped up the floor and put washing the floor on the “to do” list for tomorrow.
The cats spent their day either sleeping, lying on the floor in the kitchen (Tiger seems to like that spot a lot lately), and occasionally sitting or sleeping beside me.
They seem to be getting use to the second litterbox that I have now put outside the shower stall. It may be crowded by the toilet but I have no choice. I am still trying to figure out the new litter. On the package it says the pellet will expand three times their normal size once they have been pee’d on. Well they don’t look like they have expanded much but I know they have done it.
Tiger may have been the one who pooped on the bathroom floor mid-day. Sigh. I was really hoping she wouldn’t do that anymore. She has been limping a lot today. I suspect that it’s the atmospheric conditions right now.
I think I need to get a new charger cord for my android. It doesn’t seem to be charging fast enough.
