I got to the union office a little after four and parked out front and Ian suggested I come back an hour later so I walked down College to Shake Shack. I wasn’t sure it was open but as I got closer it was. I ordered a cheeseburger and an Oreo cookie shake. I was getting nervous as it seemed to take long (I ordered it at 4:30 and of course it’s going to take long). It arrived sometime later and I scoffed it down and headed back to the union hall where many others were gathering.
We got our t shirts and paraphernalia and took some pictures. I chatted with a few people. Ian had us go over to Bienke plaza and put literature on the chairs for a presentation today. I believe it’s the Presidents welcome. It didn’t take long so we were going to handout the flyers on the streets. He did say we would end early. They were handing out sandwiches. I had one and while I ate it decided to come home. Others left as well. Some of the others were doing art work on the sidewalks and I wasn’t going to do that with my knees.
I got home sometime after 6:30 and fed the cats. Spent the rest of the night falling asleep and then went to bed.
Saturday turned out to be a lazy day for me. I did a few things but that’s it. I was entertaining the idea of going to Brooklyn CT for their annual fair. Laura from the Finding friends group was heading up there with her friend. I invited Dave and Jim but they were at
the green River music fest in MA. I changed my mind because I figured it was going to rain but it never did.
The rest of the girls from the finding friends group were all going to meet in New London last for dinner and concert but they had to make other plans. It was raining. I stayed home. My reason was faulty. I figured it would way too late to get home. They all had their own things to do earlier in the day.
Even though I started this entry Friday night and it has taken me until now to finish (Sunday Morning). I
am not even ready to go to Brooklyn. I am waiting to hear from Dave and I a few things to do before leaving. My hope is to get up there by Lunch time.
