I led a spoiled life

It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I am currently washing floors and vacuuming a semi empty house in time for the inspection tomorrow. When I was a young teenager My mother gave me chores to do (cooking wasn’t one of them) but things like cleaning the bathroom, making sure my room was cleaned, and emptying the dishwasher were among my viable part of living in the house. I would also vacuum and do the laundry.

As I got older, I would (when I felt like it) clean my room, empty the dishwasher but the vacuuming still became my chores as well as Mom’s and Dad’s. Until they couldn’t do it anymore (Dad died in 89), and Mom eventually hired Livia in the waning years of her life.

Today I have been trying to prove to myself that I can do wood floors both vacuuming and actually washing them. We have had rugs up until recently. It isn’t really that hard to vacuum but I have looked up how to best wash floors (forgetting I have washed the bathroom floors and the kitchen floors). Do you find yourselves doing it? This is why I have decided I lead a charmed life until now.

I am still in my pajamas and I have taken more breaks that a person should (I used to do that in the bathroom detail). I going to do the upstairs bathroom and then call it a day.

I looked around and don’t see anything else that really needs cleaning. I have been keeping up with the daily cleaning.

I have also been looking up tips on best way to clean floors, clean the cleaning equipment. Did you know you are supposed to replace mops every two months? Great! Who has that kind of money?

Besides I have to get the crates into the downstairs bathroom sometime today and prepare these two for the worst morning ever. I am going to have to do it as they finish their breakfast and do it fast.

I made meatloaf and three beef patties. I probably should have cooked it a little longer because now I am not feeling well. I ate some of the meatloaf too.

I think I broke the plumbing to the kitchen sink. I tried to use the hose and now there is no pressure from the faucets. Nothing is coming out. Actually, it would come out in spurts but after that nothing. A part of me is expecting a huge flood tomorrow. I was able to use the dishwasher so it may correct itself.

I called Dave today and thought he would be home from his in-service training but he got home around 4. He told me about the training and an accident he had before leaving . He was holding a vase and it broke in his hand and has 5 stitches in his wrist.

The main reason for calling him is to update him on the status of the house. He already knew because of the Contingent label. I always thought was on it from the beginning. He asked some questions and as usual would interrupt me mid-story. He says that JimK thought it was a low asking price. It was but there was a reason and not really his business to know. I told Dave about the 6 offers and who had to make the decision and what the next step was. I told him about the condo. He kept asking about the other ones we had seen or if I had gone back to the ones he suggested. I told him about the pet policy. I also told him about the Mobile home visits. As usual I was getting annoyed with him because he would ask rapid-fire questions without letting me answer the questions. We talked for nearly 40 minutes. He had to go out and I wasn’t feeling great.

While I was watching TV Sky slept on my shoulder and under my chin it was so sweet. I moved a little and for a while he was curled up by arm and sleeping. Tiger was sleeping on top of the couch.

I eventually came up to the bedroom to get ready for sleeping. Tiger came up and has done her routine and is sitting by my legs. She walked around me put her face near my nose, and nudged me to pet her a few times. I hope sky will join us soon.

Right now though going to bed.
