Guess how long it took me?
Well I had a lot of coffee yesterday. I got a BOGO free in honor of National Coffee day. I had a couple more before the night was done. As a result I tried to go to sleep at the appropriate time, well not really. NCIS: LA was delayed well until quarter of 10. I wanted to see the opening credits. I didn’t like them very much.
Just before I got off the computer for the last time (sky was getting squashed a few times). I noticed a message from my friend JanetR she was a musician and former club member of the MYWC. The point of her message was to her family and friends know that her mother who also was short term member had passed away last night.
I sent out emails to Dr. T, Mama, and JWalker and as of this morning they all replied. I had to send them JanetR’s address I didn’t seem to have it. But now I do. I sent a message to BarbaraG as well. I just noticed my gym buddy Dede also is friends with JanetR. I sent her a message as well. Gym Buddy sent me a thank you message.
My hope of getting up early was epic fail. I ended up getting up at 5:40 and got ready for the day. I managed to get things for my lunch (salad) ready along with bringing the creamers I bought grocery shopping. I fed the cats and was able to leave the house by 7 and got to the shuttle a few minutes before it arrived.
I spent the morning scanning. By 1 we were caught up. But by the end of the day the box was almost full again. I will be on it tomorrow morning. I spent the rest of the late afternoon heling with the readdress mail.
Well as I expected and after I spoke to a few coworkers an email came out from the CFO announcing Director’s plan to retire from Yale and work somewhere else. Lots of discussion began. Apparently a number o people knew Friday after all because someone overheard and ran with it. NOT ME.
Now the speculation on who will be next in line and some are wondering if it will be SR. As one of my colleagues suggested instead of getting rid of C&T’s they are deciding who needs to go in management. The hope is whoever is being brought in is a compassionate and understanding as ST was.
I came home and fed the cats, made dinner, and fell asleep. I was planning on going to the gym for class but I was getting tired. I made steak, and peas, and yogurt and decaf. I watched TV for a while and then put the laundry through and the dishwasher through.
I have to be up for class tomorrow. I can’t remember when I had class on Tuesday morning but I also meet with Alex tomorrow night. My intention was to be in the gym every day this week. It’s not quite every day yet. I am tracking the food but still going over the daily calories.
I better get going…starting to fall asleep again…
