I am trying to catch up on my food log for this week because I received a message very early this morning (around 7) from “Coach” Alex to come in around 11:30. That’s good because I think we are doing an hour but I am not sure about that.
I forgot that I wanted to go to the Sandcastle contest today but it is supposed to rain in the late afternoon. As usual I think or plan on going to something and by the time it arrives I change my mind for one reason or another. It is usually because no one else I know is going or I end up getting too lazy or the weather. Then I end up regretting it.
I actually checked its only supposed to be cloudy until later tonight when the rain is supposed to start. That’s Okay I will settle in and watch NCIS until I go to sleep.
Tiger is out back enjoying the sunshine and Sky is above my head right now. I know this is going to sound crazy but I think he knew I had to go downstairs to empty the dehumidifier and so he was meowing for a good long time until I opened the door and he went down and sat next to the dehumidifier until it was done. As soon as I put that receptacle on he ran upstairs at not at my urging. Then he was starting to cry to go up into my old bedroom (I have to print things later) but he saw I wasn’t going to go so now he is sleeping.
Last night’s meeting went well. I have to finish the minutes from last night and then send them to Phil. We have a number of things coming up including a Social Meet and Greet (no fundraisers attached). Location and time to be determined but it will be on September 12.
We did pretty well for the Awards dinner. Despite some moments where people as usual didn’t follow through on the instructions for payments, or behavior issues. They have already reserved the date for next year’s and it will be June 7th. Let’s hope my sister and or her family don’t have a big celebration for that night or I am screwed.
Sharon did say that after next year’s awards dinner she is through chairing the event and will train someone else to do it. I suggested she write down and make a manual. She didn’t think that was a great idea.
I just realize I should look at my cell phone when it buzzes because there were messages from both Liz and Jim. They were replying to my early morning texts. Liz always says that people do not have to immediately respond to texts but I disagree. What if you needed something very important?
Well I need to continue updating my calendar and look over minutes and get my day going. Have a great one.
