This Week is going Fast
This week went by fast. I can’t believe it is pay day again and nearly the end of the week. Despite the aggravations earlier in the week that I spoke about I can understand now how my grandmother felt a few years before she died. It was unnerving the days seem to fly by.
As I wrote yesterday the floors are going to be finished today including the gaping hole in front of my bedroom door. Mom and I have been careful but this is getting old. Mom has been feeling uneasy with all the clutter and mess around. As she said it’s been going on for a while. She wants to get back to normal. She wants to get started on the projects that come up this time of year. The Meet and Greet is some time in the next two or three months before the election.
Well those projects will have to be put on hold for another day. Andy (not Adam as previously written) said it will be done without fail tomorrow. The hole is now gone and the entire upstairs floor will have to be varnished or stained over again. To settle a makeshift bet between Mom and myself I asked Andy how far down was the hole. He said all the way down to the cellar. The hole apparently was right next to the chimney. It would not have been very good if anyone had fallen.
The good news is we are back online again (insert hamster dance here). I would have gone crazy another night without being online. I was starting to go through withdrawals. Not only that but it isn’t a good idea to be online at work.
Update on the hotel reservation. Liz has reserved a room at The Admiralty Inn - Falmouth, Cape Cod. When I talked with Liz this morning she told me she reserved it for Saturday and Sunday. I tried to tell her that we had planned on going up Saturday. She said no. Well a part of me was a tad resentful because she had to be in control. When I talked with Mom later on in the day we decided (as originally planned) to go up on Friday. Why should Liz and Nelson be the only ones to go up early? Its going to be a vacation for them too but it bothered me just the same. By the time I got home Liz changed the reservations. She also told me this was her birthday gift to me this year.
Work went well. Got the daily stuff and making continued progress with the readdress stuff. Joanie didn’t come into work today and I am not sure why. I think part of it was she was angry over some things regarding another scanner. I also think she had asked for it off anyway. SR is continuing to be witch. I told a few more people about the incidents. Lee Ann told me that technically we don’t have to say hello to our supervisors. Happily Dottie and I disagreed with her but we didn’t argue about that. The last hour of OT I was the only scanner there (well besides Frank but he was also filing).
I have a long Meme fromhawk_soaring to finish it was hinky for me so I will have to finish it before going to bed. I also want to watch NCIS on ION channel.
