Two Birthdays and A Wedding Anniversary
Today is Mom’s 88th birthday and Bob’s 67th Birthday respectfully. It is also Bob’s Wedding Anniversary to Ethel. I think they have been married close to 40 years now. Ethel made a post on Facebook and I commented on it. Liz liked the original post. My gifts to Mom over the last few years have been a live birthday card (me singing horribly). For Bob it was either a gift card or some belated Christmas gift turned into a birthday gift.
Last year this time we had snow storm (not unlike what’s been happening this week) and we found out that Mom’s cancer had progressed a little more (or a lot more). Two years ago. Was Mom’s Birthday and a Mass being said for Bob. That year I had given Mom a gift and she loved it. The only thing is I can’t remember what I gave her.
I called Liz at Lunch time but she was out. This is part of the respecting/honoring boundaries and not call first thing in the morning. She was out running errands and going to the acupuncture session. I spent a few minutes on the phone with Nelson. His knee is giving him trouble again after his fall during the weekend in the snow. I had to ask him some plumbing questions (NOT THOSE KIND!!!!)
Last night while clearing the kitchen I discovered the hose in the sink was leaking and it happens anytime I turn the water on. I asked Nelson what should I do about it and he said it might need replacing and that they would look into it.
Oh My God...I was doing fine until Diane changed her Facebook profile picture to this. (I hope it worked) I shared it on my timeline with a message.
I was very pleased to know that I was caught up with everything by the time I left for home. The feeling of accomplishment is great until the next time when I get a ton of it. HOpefully it will be under control.
I stopped at the bank after work to deposit the insurance check. It will come in handy for upcoming bills. This money will go to the insurance bill for the house. The way I see it I can pay it off all at once and not have to worry about it until next year.
I talked with Liz on the way home tonight. We talked about Rich’s current health situation. Like I wrote last night he still has Pneumonia but as of right now nothing is working. The only other thing that could work is different antibiotics. There is mixed feelings about this.
We talked about moving the garbage cans from out back to the front so that I don’t have to walk so far in the snow (there is a lot and as you know I fell last night) and maybe protective during storms. We also talked about the sink hose. We talked about few other things and then had to go she was finishing cleaning her room and I wanted to get inside for dinner.
Tomorrow is Wear Red day for woman’s heart. AlitaF reminded everyone about it so we are going to do it. So I just got my clothes out and ready for it.
For the rest of tonight though I am going to work on bills and get some laundry done. RIght now I am cold and can’t seem to warm up.
