Update, general + travel dreams
I hate it when it's Wednesday and you already know your weekend is shot. As today is Friday I'm even more upset that I am likely to feel more rested and ready for the day today than I will be on Monday. Ah well.
Tomorrow I move and also my aunt will be in town. The one cousin on my Dad's side that I've never met will be here to so it will be nice to meet her. She happens to be a 40 something eye doctor. She lives on the east coast but if nothing else maybe I could ask her to recommend an eye surgeon :)
School is going alright. Having to go to UCI 4 out of 5 weekdays is major lameness. I feel like I get nothing done at work (despite the myth1 I do actually have work to do at my work). The teacher seems really nice tho and he got us our homework back the next day, which I am not used to and really appreciate. I am hoping once the move is over with I can get to picking a research paper topic. Its a couple of weeks early but I like to get a jump on things. That and I find them more fun when I'm not pressed for time because I get to lazily browse more papers. Funny how over the past 5 years I've found researching and writing grad level papers and giving presentations to be much easier and more fun than say book homework. God I hate book homework. I mean you go find 5 polymers we use in our everyday lives and give the structure. There just has to be something I could do involving more... learning.
In other news I am still partially depressed that I live in a country with no 5 weeks minimum of paid vacation.

*20 days Antarctica (really expensive)
*22 days Greek Island Sailing
These however are impossible for me unless I quit:
*52 days Southern Africa Circuit or Same trip, camping version (cheaper)
*146 day South America Circuit
