Things I applaud during this Winter Season
*Kid Nation - Not the most bizare reality television show I have found to be entertaining (that title belongs to either KEPT or 4th Season The Surreal Life) I only just started watching it during Thanksgiving so Ive missed most of the season but I have growing confidence that raising kids might not entirely suck someday.
*Doctor Who - My only complaint is that I recently learned that John Barrowman is not only married but gay too. I was told this lovely news before I even had the time to get over the shock of finding out the guy is 40 years old. He's the sexiest gay married 40 year old I know of.
*The new second Harbor blvd exit off the 405 i.e. the IKEA exit. - It doesnt entirely force you into the IKEA parking lot and as such I get to cruise on to Harbor and miss the Harbor exit clusterfuck.
*Hemingway - He lead a miserable life and wrote stories about miserable people but god love 'em and his direct writing style. He's and equal opportunity "all your lives are shit" kind of guy. At the very least it makes me feel human and makes me appreciate my own not-all-that-miserable-I-suppose life a touch more.
(That mostly came from having just started reading The Sun Also Rises. I've actually read the cliff notes before for some random reason so I know how it ends and all that, still I figured I'd actually read it. I seriously only bought it cause I had a coupon from Barnes and Noble and got 4 Hemingway novels in one hardbound book for 8$ :D)
And theres more in the near future too!
This Friday - The Golden Compass comes out in theaters. I am going to see it with my mom and so far, Charles cause he is the only one who is cool enough to have both the time, money and inclination.
Monday - The currently 17 page paper is due and out of my life for ever.
Tuesday - I get my tooth put on.. Im DONE! ( now I just have to finish paying for it!)
Wednesday - Nothing to applaud today or tomorrow especially.. see Thursday
Thursday - The final exam for this class :( And my boss leaves until Jan 7th. Im going to be so friggen bored at work.
Friday - Exams are over and the weekend is here and Im stealing Nicole for some much needed us time.
Well off to bed, I have to be at work at 7 am for a Video Conference with Europe that is at 3pm their time :(
