Party Weekend Extravaganza and other things.
I think I need a weekend to recuperate from my weekend. Or from my month. Ive been so busy and my ability to operate on such severely low amounts of sleep as of late astounds me. Maybe Im not getting so old after all!
This past weekend we celebrated Jesse's 30th, which of course isnt until the 27th :P. It was quite a bash and I got tipsy Fri night and quite drunk Sat night. Not too much of a hangover tho just an ungodly lack of sleep. My body is still punishing me today. I hope to make up some of that sleep tonight. I last slept well on Thursday evening and then I woke up at 4:40am Friday morning for no reason and couldn't get back to sleep. I next slept when I napped from 12-2am and then rejoined the party in the jacuzzi. I was back asleep by 4am and awake again by 8am. Saturday's sleep schedule is something of a wash, rinse and repeat.
Needless to say there was ample merriment to go around and equally much to clean up on Sunday, though we managed that alright. Sunday at 5pm we went to see Shoot 'em Up which I highly recommend. Montie had wanted to go see it and I hadn't even heard of it but people were going and despite my lack of sleep I knew I couldn't allow myself to rest until at least 9pm or I'd be screwed for work today. So I went to bed at like 8:30 pm but I started reading Invincible vol. 1 and somehow got to vol. 2 before I realized it was 12:30 am. Who needs sleep I tell ya?
It was nice to see people I don't always get to see this weekend. Charles also brought his puppy so that was an added fun. Robin was there (Long time no see since I hung out with him Labor day weekend :P) and Matt, Kara and Chris came which is always cool. Even Angus joined us for both nights. I probably saw more of Montie at the movie tho than at the party which sucks since now his is moving at the end of the month. Hopefully we will all get a chance to hang out again before he rushes off to San Fran.
For steam punk soirée Im going to be Chris' characters wife. I will have to come up with "horrible Texan" name to go along with his. Matt and Chris also pointed out that I could just do grommets instead of trying to fix horrible sleeves issue on my dress which was an excellent idea I hadn't thought of at all. I'm going to go get some and do it on my practice one first. I kinda need to get steppen' and do more on this dress if I want everything to be done by ~ Oct 19th..
In other news Nicole is almost completely moved into her new place and will be able to hang out now that she is living in Irvine. This is, of course, some of the best news I've heard all year.
I need to look up weather in Atlanta since I will be arriving there this Friday morning and not returning until Monday. I might have to save up for another plane ticket for Virginia now too as I heard that my buddy Reese asked his girlfriend to marry him and she said yes.
