I've finally finished watching the Bounto arc of Bleach. My verdict? ##May contain spoilers - I really don't care at this point.##
The premise had promise, but they fucked it up. Too much posturing & blah-blah-blahing, unnecessary angst (damned emo Ishida should mow lawns for life), & not enough character developments. True, it's a cast of a few dozen, but still, it's doable. And it would've been nice to see how Soul Society coped & picked themselves up for their daily lives after Aizen's betrayal. Super powers aside, they're just like humans, with feelings & insecurities. By the end of the arc, I had changed from disliking the Quincy, to fully hating them, Ishida Uryu in particular. Naive extreme idealism grates like fingertips on a blackboard, especially from snot-nosed brats.

The good point of the arc was: More Soul Society! Hisagi - God there'll never be enough of Hisagi - Kira, Yoruichi, Kuukaku, Hitsugaya, Byakuya, Kenpachi!, Komamura, Bonny-chan & gang!, & etc., etc. I like the concept behind Wabisuke's abilities; too bad Hisagi hasn't gone shikai even once. Kechi. Oh well, guess I'll have to see how it looks like in The DiamondDust Rebellion. (Is it subbed yet? Is it, is it?) The omake eps after the endings were also mostly hilarious. Who would've thought, Byakuya would willingly go to a Women's Association meeting! With a meat bun in his sleeve for Yachiru.
Oh btw Sits, your envelope arrived. (I don't know when I can pass it to you cos after work from your place is traffic hell, & my weekends are full til after CNY.) And proof that I'm on the Customo's shit list: there's a "DILEPASKAN" (allowed through) stamp on it. I'd never had that stamp on anything from Japan before, & the Fin. Drctr saw it & kept asking me questions. So unfortunately, since I don't wanna tempt fate (& possibly lose my job) & have the bastards paying me a visit at the office, I'll have to ask no more packages please, thanks. At least for yaoi & BL related stuff, even 'tame' ones. *starts re-planning world domination*
