Okay, no way am I going to manage 15 different fandoms, but I can do several. Have fun picking apart how twisted favoring some of these makes me. There are actually

*quivers with curiosity* Ooh... she has a past? Tell me? *hopeful eyes* I love spoilers...
'k, this show's sounding more and more awesome. Usually I get sick of the characters' families and how irritating they are but wow, these dynamics sound fantastic!
It's kinda funny how it's often daughters onscreen in the contemporary shows...Shark, Sanctuary [omg, I get to watch it this week!], Lie to Me and this one...there aren't many sons in comparison, at least, not on the shows I watch.
Lmao, yep, apparently so. There was nobody else in the century since he became a vampire that he wanted before the incredibly tasty and sweet-smelling Bella.
Giles! Giles is King Uther in Merlin, omg, I LOVE HIM!
I mean, I love Giles, but I watch Buffy sporadically [saw him beat up on Spike once, dude was fierce! Ordered him to leave Buffy alone like whoa...] and he's just so scary awesome as the king.
Got your pm- interesting themes! I never would've thought of them in such a coherent fashion.

The family dynamic is fun. His mother was a big star on Broadway and is pretty liberal and fun-loving. When Castle has the cops over for poker every week, his mom joins the game. And he’s pretty open about the cases he observes on with both her and her daughter, which sometimes provides some insight into the case. It’s nice because he’ll actually LISTEN to both of them when they say something worth hearing. And there’s a really sweet scene between him and his daughter in one of the eps I managed to catch where he gets home from a murder scene, walks up to her and just hugs her like he’s never going to let go. “What’s that for, Dad?” “Nothing, sweetheart, nothing. I love you.” “Love you, too, Dad.” “Night.” That was just about the most REAL expression of good father/daughter that I’ve seen on TV in a very long time...
You’re right, more daughters than sons on TV, although an argument could be made for Henry as a son on Sanctuary. Have you seen it yet? Omfg, just omfg. You said you like spoilers? Check out ‘ship #4. Not all the squeeing was in my head the first time I saw those two together, lol. “Oh, my gods, no way! NO WAY! They can NOT be implying what I think they’re implying!” and then later “Holy shit, I think they’re about to start making out!” To quote Will in that same ep “Man, I am seriously geeking out right now…”
I’m not even touching the fact that Edward is turned on by the way Bella smells. Can’t afford to. My Henry does the same thing every time Ashley walks into the room, lol.
You think watching Giles beat the shit out of SPIKE is scary, wait until you see him with ETHAN.
Giles: *smiles and rolls up his sleeves* “You really have no idea how much thrashing you is going to improve my day, old chum...”
Honestly, those themes aren’t as coherent as they sound. I wrote down the ships and looked for common threads afterwards. I’m a little Aspergers, so similar patterns tend to appeal to me in different contexts *shrug* This kid I beta for laughed her ass off when she saw that “true love sometimes hurts like a mofo” was common to all 15 ships, lol, because I tend to put the characters I love through hell in my fics.
