The purist in me wants to avoid this thing like the plague. The consumer in me thinks it'll provide 90 minutes of decent eye-candy between the pretty cast and the GORGEOUS special effects. Not a huge fan of Abrams, though. Lost is unduly convoluted (and i usually LIKE convolusion) and thinks it's being clever when it's really just failing to get to the damned point already, and Fringe is just DULL which it really shouldn't be given the subject-matter. Although, credit where credit is due, this IS the guy who wrote "Regarding Henry" so he IS capable of turning out decent product.
Don't know yet if I'm going to plunk down $10 to see this in the theater. What do you guys think?
