Mockingjay
by Suzanne Collins
Book 3 of The Hunger Games Trilogy
By far my favorite book of the trilogy. I found it reminded me a lot of Ender's Game and I may need to reread that series as part of the challenge this year. I love learning the inner workings of the mind specially in situations like this. I found the lack of a formal game to be the best part of this book and thought Collins was very clever in how she used the experience in the games with Katniss and the other victors. I love the backstory of what happened to the victors after they won the games as I never would have considered they would still be pawns of the capital. I think this book made the other two worth it and if you didn't like the Hunger Games perhaps reading a short synopsis to get the plot points would be enough so you could enjoy Moackingjay. I certainly appreciated this book and recommend it highly.
