I finally have internet access!!!!! *throws confetti*
I saw Tsumi to Batsu~ A Falsified Romance Episode 1 the other night. If only a subbing team picked this up it would have been a lot easier to understand the episode. ;________________________;
The protagonist, Miroku played by Kora Kengo is a college drop-out and an aspiring novelist who has an inferiority complex. One night he encounters a timid high school girl who approaches him to sell her body. He then refuses and sees this high school girl approach a salary man who complies with her request. He follows the two and stops them right before entering the motel.
The next day, he is sitting at a cafe and sees a group of high school girls with their leader, Baba Hikaru, played by Hashimoto Ai. He also sees the same girl (we learn that her name is Risa) being bullied by their leader and being sold to a customer for 30,000 yen.
Hikaru sees that Miroku has been paying attention to what has been happening and offers him their services by giving out her calling card.
He follows Hikaru the next day and finds out that she's giving the money to Mikoshiba Haruka, played by Sometani Shota who gives it to a Yakuza.
Miroku calls Hikaru using the calling card that she gave him and tells her he wants to know more about what they are doing. Hikaru agrees but on the condition that he'd have to have sex first with Risa before she tells him anything.
They end up at the hotel and Miroku ends up giving the money that his sister sent to him. Risa starts feeling sick just before she was about to take a shower and Miroku tells Risa that Hikaru is treating her like a dog and that she doesn't really care what happens to Risa. As Risa returns the money (as nothing happened) to Miroku, he tells her to keep it and instructs to tell Hikaru they did it.
Hikaru meets up with them and agrees to be interviewed by Miroku. The interview ends up with Miroku deciding that he will kill her to erase pests like her in the society.
The drama overall is dark, serious and intense and is enveloped with mystery. The first episode was very engaging. It runs in a very good pacing and the build up is really good.
The acting is really good! Kora Kengo has proven yet again that he is of course a talented and versatile actor while Hashimoto Ai presents that she is clearly underrated and acts way beyond her age. She is a cunning, manipulating and intimidating "mamasan" as she depicts this heartless and cold high school student. I hope that we'd get to see more of her past.
We have barely seen Mizukawa Asami and Sometani Shota in the first episode but I'm sure they'll impress the audience in the next episodes. Looking forward for the next episode and hopefully a subbing team picks this up.
