I was diagnosed with multiple food allergies about two months ago. I am still getting adjusted to it. Here is a list of my different food allergies in no particular order: bananas, strawberries, wheat, barley, oats, malt, rice, beef, pork, mushrooms, tea, coffee, chocolate/cocoa, black pepper, and beta lactoglobulin (milk). I am finding that a lot of foods are now off limits to me. The foods that are gluten free I can't eat most of them because they use rice or rice flour in them. I also do not like the fact that a lot of food labels have listed the non-descriptive "spices" which could include black pepper. I don't do the cooking in my house but i really do want to start. How can I start to become a better cook for my family? The biggest problem I have is that cooking kind of intimidates me. Also my son was diagnosed with egg white and milk allergies, so that complicates things a bit.
