School's out for Summer!!  My kids are a smattering of weeks away from being 3rd and 5th graders. How they (and I) got this old this fast, I cannot fathom. Also, livejournal default text is way too small for me without my glasses. I is old.

My daughter has a plan. I'm not clear on the sequence, but I know it involves being a marine biologist on the Moon. Or was it Mars? Entangled in the midst it all is also her wish to be a ballerina, a musician, and an artist while researching marine life. On the moon. Or Mars. And then back on Earth, of course. I think my daughter is finally, officially eight years old. After swim class, three hours of running around with friends, snacks, and then more swimming, my kids picked a fight with each other when it was time to leave. Haven't written much of late. The orchestra concert last week took up way more time than I expected.
