Founding Theories of Inhumanism




Noah's been 24 years old for three months, now. Tomorrow will mark the first two months of my voyage into the same. And two days hence will round off the first of the Obama Era! ...So far, something of a failure--if not in policy, then certainly in narrative. And let's not fool anyone who doesn't want to be played a fool: the narrative is the policy.

We'll get bored lazy and ugly and sit around and watch TV and drink soda and piss looking beer and eat chips and listen to whatever the radio plays and the only time we'll really pay attention to anything is on third down--or fourth, if they decide to go for it. Special Reports make for good bathroom breaks and...

Distracted, moved over to Twitter to gripe that my steel cut oatmeal has been more difficult to tame than I figured it would be. Realized how petulant and petty that was, decided to leave my current header a quotation from Franco's appearance on the most recent 30 Rock: "Objects are made by men, and used for many purposes... but we never love objects."

And thus, the United States on this Martin Luther King day.
