NaNoWriMo 2010
I think I'm going to try this again this year. Of course -- I had to quit after less than a week last year because I was so busy with writing-for-income. And it's not like I'm not busy this year too.
But one of the things that made it easier to quit last year was that I wasn't fond of either the story itself or the characters. So any time there was a moment when I needed to push myself, there was always the feeling of, "With these people? Um...maybe not."
So this year, I may go back to a very productive well -- Fullmetal Alchemist. It was either that or do a third story in my own Anime-style world. I actually do have a third story in mind for that, and I already know and love those characters too. But what the heck. There are almost no characters on earth I love spending time with more than the FMA crowd. And Roy especially -- about whom this story will naturally be. (Surprise, surprise)
So. We'll see. I'll start the thing, anyway, and see how well I can keep it up. I do love doing the NaNo. :-)
