I had some amazing rant that I was going to write about earlier - but then I got a phone call and totally forgot what it was. Lucky for you guys, eh? So instead, it's time for another amazing movie review by Meg.
Tonight's choice: Nacho Libre Rating: 3 out of 4 stars (if you like that sort of movie! :))
I love Jack Black. I think he is hilarious, and so, of course I loved this movie, All of the actors are good, the story is funny, the kids are cute, everything was totally silly. To me anyway. Apparently a lot of critics are panning this movie, but I think it's because they don't like the movie style, not because of anything else. Hell, even my mom liked it and she doesn't like Napolean Dynamite. The best quote of the movie is "I don't know why you are always judging me, just because I only believe in science" closely followed by a certain lyric from Nacho's song about Encarnacion which I won't reveal here for those of you that haven't seen the film. I mean, sure, there were a little too many fart jokes, but poor Nacho had been serving been soup for his whole entire life in the orphanage. A little gaseous issue is bound to pop up. Otherwise, I thought it was hilarious and it left me in an extremely silly mood. I know that 95% of my friends will like it. To you other 5%, I love you anyway, even if you are heartless beasts. J/k. Maybe just a little too stoic for your own good.
Otherwise, things are going okay, other than that I still can't motivate myself to move on with my life! AHH! But tomorrow I'll be getting some culture with Ali, and next weekend I get to do my favorite thing in the entire world - go to an O's game! YAY!!!! WOOHOO! It's my belated birthday present from my parents. I also get lots of memorabilia, since I have outgrown all of my old stuff long since. My mom even threw out my favorite 1993 All-star game t-shirt in 9th grade which I had had forever and had gradually gotten smaller and smaller on me - it had once gone to my knees. So that is supremely exciting. And I'm planning on going to He's Not with Sid on Tuesday (hooray for friends who still haven't graduated, I wish I hadn't) so that should be fun. Oh, and my dearest mother and her friend decided they were bored and gave my puppy a totally dorky haircut. Poor thing would be embarrassed if he could see himself and he wasn't so evil. But at least he CAN see now because he doesn't have hair covering his eyes.
That's it - everyone cheer for the 'Canes! We need a win here! I heart Cam!
Best wishes, and hugs and kisses,
Megs
