This week, Ame and I watched the first 26 episodes of Pokemon. What's sad is that we always complain we don't have time to watch current series anymore, and yet we had time for this! ...What's sad is that we would totally watch more, but that's all we have on DVD.
On Thursday, palais, kittyling and scanning_darkly went and bugged Ame at work. And by that I mean she made us sandwiches and we had a lovely dinner! This afternoon I had lunch with victorien and __kaze__. We haven't gotten a chance to hang out with people much lately because of being sick and then catching up on everything since then, we need to make more of a habit of it!
Today I got a birthday card in the mail from bombaycake and it made me grin like a loon for pretty much ever. ;; w;; Thank you so much, honey! It absolutely made my day. ♥♥
Tonight, Mom stopped by on her way up to Maine. She brought me champagne and some birthday decorations and stuff for tomorrow. ;; w;; She is wonderful. Things have been really stressful for her lately... they're finally moving my grandma (Berniece) from her home into an assisted living facility. While they were working on the move in Kansas City, Mom had decided to take Grandma out to Maine for a few days to show her their house up there and everything. Short version is that Grandma gave Mom a couple little scares (like downing some wine and launching head-first into a serious lapse in clarity and cognition... ksfjl Berniece @_@) and soon after returning to Kansas City, ended up in the emergency room and an MRI revealed that she's had two minor strokes. EVEN SHORTER VERSION is that Mom has been massively stressed out dealing with all this, plus the fact that we're probably going to have to take Grandma's cats. That is five cats. That is a lot of cats. (That pretty much eliminates the possibility of my parents getting another dog pretty much ever, fft.) But ANYWAY. Stressed Mom.
I really feel terrible, because she does so much for Grandma but... Berniece is just sort of at a point of permanent unhappiness so she doesn't appreciate it and it bums Mom out. So I tried to be super nice. :< She took me out to get groceries and stuff for tomorrow and even gave me some money to spend on booze which is... adorable. We stopped by Antonio's for pizza on the way home where we found Max and Tony who were about to head off on some bikeganging... I swear my mom has this weirdly adorable son-crush thing on Max and it is simultaneously the cutest and strangest thing. She has mentioned wanting to adopt him. idek, it's cute. ;; A;;
At midnight, Ame gave me my birthday gift. ;; w;; It's all SO SO SO CUTE~ she got me a few blind boxes because toys are my absolute weakness, and Pokemon cards, AAAND drew me probably the most adorable thing ever (PUPPIEEES) and made a cute frame for it and sklgjsklghj it is the cutest and I love her the end. ♥
Tomorrow-- well, later today, I suppose! Much birthday preparations. Three of my best friends from home are coming up and I am SO PSYCHED. Plus several other bbs from around here... Ame's cooking a big dinner and then we're headed to Diva's in Northampton which should... certainly be an adventure. Oh god I need to not think about it anymore tonight, I will just stress about stuff I have to get done before people get here tomorrow. GOODNIIIIIGHT (ps officially 21 in 12.5 hours WOO SPRING BREAK)
