they knew, too much. WE KNOW, TOO MUCH.

You know that part in Garden State where Largeman goes home and goes to that weird party with a bunch of people he used to know from his town, and then there is a drunken late-night pool party?

My night was kind of like that, except less trashy and without Natalie Portman, sadly.

I. I don't even. Hanging out with people who were acquaintances in high school but who make for very good company now that we've grown up a bit was actually really wonderful. New Jersey, sometimes you are not terrible.

- My friend's little sister dated my ex-boyfriend, Richard, from MA because she went to the same school as him, and apparently now he's a bro and a douchebag? My mind can even begin to comprehend this.
- Oh god Olde English Sheepdog and a cat to snuggle when I was drunk.
- smallbluerobot and j0kr really know way too much about my life. 8C
- I'm pretty sure at one point I kind of came out by prefacing a story with "Spoilers: I have a girlfriend" and then going on to explain why I was hungover at Disneyland.
- "Do you remember when you made fun of me and called me 'Rat Girl' in 6th grade because I had a pet rat?" ".. No, I don't remember that at all." "Oh. Well, I have rats again, so when I saw you come in I remembered that!" He and I went on to have a Nerf gun dart fight.
- A girl whose boobs I distinctly remember checking out on our 8th grade trip to the water park because she, for whatever reason, didn't have a bathing suit and was wearing an incredibly see-through shirt.
- bonding over teasing smallbluerobot with someone!
- nostalgiabombing over people from my childhood that I completely forgot the existence of.
- if anyone ever thinks my house is big, I am bringing you to the West Side of my town. Seriously those houses are goddamn insane. The pool had a SLIDE.
- taking the taxi home and j0kr speaking in Russian tongues to the driver jakfjlskj and then wandering Ridgewood at 3:30am~
- seriously though I never went to "real" houseparties during high school, so I am kind of glad I am starting to make up for it now.

So, I am looking forward to possible future summer adventures with this sort of crew? It was a bizarre but enjoyable experience. A++, would, again, etc.

I really am a misleadingly good typist when I am crunk! Though you might not be able to tell from this entry, I am somewhat of a mess, so it is time for bed. Iiiii have so much sewing to do tomorrow!

edit Also, my mom is Kanghaskan Mom and is the best. Condensed but true-to-life conversation from earlier tonight explaining the circumstances:

me: "Chris and Anton called me up last week to say they were outside my house and invited me to smoke a bowl with them, but I had friends over so I didn't. So they invited me to some party tonight."
Mom: "Aw! They were always such nice boys. They were nice guys, right?"
me: "They're planning to take a cab home since we'll probably all be drunk."
Mom: "And they're responsible!"

Why is she the best. God, I hope my kids feel like they can be as open with me as I am able to be with her. It is so refreshing and comforting to be able to, like.. actually tell my mom the truth about what I'm doing. I don't think many people are as lucky as I am to know what it feels like (though to be fair, I've really only gotten to this level of comfort with my mom in the past couple years. It wasn't always like this!) Anyway my mom is awesome blah blah I'm going to clone her blah blah.
