why is the name "stinky wizzleteats" in my head

I'm home. For the first time in over a month.

Miss California and its residents terribly already. Throat hurts more than ever and ear canals got pretty effed up on the flight. My bags got diverted to Chicago.. get them back tomorrow.

Grandma Elaine passed away this morning.

I had a feeling as soon as I got up this morning but I'm glad Mom waited to tell me for sure until I got home. I had a bit of a weep in the car when she told me but I think it was just a culmination of all the evening's factors. I don't think it'll fully sink in until I'm down there.

We fly down Saturday morning. The funeral is on Sunday. If I can get to the doctor, get a black dress and sufficiently pack tomorrow afternoon, maybe I'll stop by AnimeNext to say hi but I doubt it.

Right now I'm just dazed and overwhelmed, I think. I knew it'd be hard to come home but coming home sick and in pain and to death was a bit more than I bargained for.

Not really psyched about sleeping in this big room alone tonight. I think I spent maybe two nights in the past month or so not going to sleep with someone else in the room. Also, 2500 miles is an astounding distance and I rather hate it.

Have fun at AnimeNext, guys.

Edit Changing my Mac's timezone back to NYC instead of San Francisco was way more sad than it should have been.

Edit again I forgot to mention my Bright Side. I made a friend on the plane. Her name is Munro and she's 3 1/2. She was very chatty and allupons and her mom's nickname for her was Momo. I helped her play with stickers and drew a puppy for her and pointed out stars to her out the window. She was adorable. Might have been a little annoying, but cuteness made up for it. She made me smile and her mom was sweet too (even if she started drinking as soon as Munro went down for her nap) and.. yes. I've decided there's almost always a bright side when things get shitty like this and in this case, Momo was my Bright Side.

EDIT THE THIRD Haha, oh god. Found another Bright Side. For those of you who have seen ORANJI JAUS, oh my god Lisa's friend made this. For those of you who haven't, watch this and prepare yourself at 0:55. Oh god I'm so glad Ame and Nick and I have spread oranji jaus to the point that people we've spread it to are spreading it. Okay, better mood now. Legit.

bright sides, travel, mai laifu, shittypoops, family, death, california
