So yesterday was certainly a leap. In.. some direction. I'm not sure which, but I think it was good.
Bus up to Boston, train to Sharon. To hang out with Val for a bit before going to Kayla's. Gasp! I know, right? It was the first time we'd seen each other since May. We did just fine! She was in the car with Jess and her new baby, Taylor, who is absolutely adorable. Dropped Jess and Taylor off at home, said hi to Cynthia's multitude of cats (I even remembered a couple of their names, wow) and drove around listening to music and talking for an hour before she dropped me back off at the train. It was really nice. Except when Val hit a raccoon, ahaha. Oops. Poor coonbaby.
Headed back into Boston, was met by Kayla and her friends to bring us back to Dedham. ..I've got to say, that whole.. going from the girl who loved me to the girl who loves me thing was a pretty huge mindfuck. But Iiii don't know. I was alright after a brief vag-out on the train. I'm glad yesterday worked out.. proving (to myself? I don't know) that Val and I can actually hang out for reals and be friends without completely exploding was pretty cool.
Today is.. a little rough. It marks one year that Cody's been gone. We woke up for a bit early this morning and I couldn't help but remember going downstairs and having Mom tell me he didn't make it through the night. I miss him immensely. I can't believe it's been as long as it has. I'm planning to make a huge Cody photopost later tonight. Today, Kayla and I are going to play with her friend's beagle puppy. I think that's a suitable way to remember.
Edit Oh man, awesome! Got my housing assignment for the spring, and they somehow found a place for me in the North apartments! That is rad! I looked my other three roomates up on facebook and they look mildly terrifying (read: typical UMass girls), but I'll be fine. genkitozuku and dearangelogata, where did you guys end up? I will come visit like, all the time. I'm in North C on the third floor. Oh god I can't believe I'm going back to UMass. @_@
