Thanksgiving and such
Had my mom, step-dad, and sister up here for Thanksgiving along with numerous other folk. Managed to stuff 15 people around three tables in my house. The turkey turned out the best of any turkey I've made so far - rock. All the food was great!
So the antibiotics are working great. Some lame side effects, but nothing too terrible. And my motivation at work has turned almost completely around. Stupid sickness affecting everything.
I've been playing a ton of BF2 and the expansion. That game is just so good. It never gets old. Also been playing Civ4 - an amazing game that reminds me a bit of what Alpha Centauri was. Damn, I love that old game. Civ4 is trying to make my computer overheat, though. :) I hope I don't burn out another video card ... Weird as it is not a graphically intense game - but it seems to be processor intensive. Not convinced it takes advantage of multi-core processors. Fun aside, most PC games are terribly coded. The latest patch for BF2 increases the load times from 30s - 1m to almost 6m sometimes. Terrible! However, being able to use the F2000 and flashbangs in vanilla BF2 is terribly fun.
