I would recommend, for next time, a cordless mouse. I much prefer them, and the desk is less encumbered.

We have usually gotten around the problem of recycling the old electronics by giving them away. But it is true, mountains of trash are generated everyday. Here we should do like Tokyo with Odaiba and build an island in the Chesapeake Bay with some of the trash.
