Go. Later. Not at all.

Well, the topic of this post is my week at work.

On Wednesday the contractor for the tank manual asked that I accompany one of their staffs to Kassel for some research work. They are writing the maintenance part of the manual and have only two days of research for one of the equipments inside AND only one person available. As this part is closely connected to the part I'm currently writing, of course they asked if I could help them with the reseach.
It was scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

On Thursday my boss said to me that the trip is post-poned to either "Wednesday + Thursday" or "Thursday + Friday". No problem there, unless that Friday would be my last day of work before my one week of holidays, but still okay.

Friday morning I got the mail saying "trip is cancelled for the time being, we'll let you know as soon as the people down there in Kassel decide when they will let us do the research". Yep, I love how well all of this is organised ^^;;;;;;

Friday evening Mel and I decided to eat out and went to the "Pannekoekship" (= pancake ship).
It's located on the Weser river, right next to the city. The evening was quite lovely, so we were sitting on the main deck and enjoyed ourselves.
Mel had the Italian pancake (with asparagus, pepperoni, bacon and mushroom) and I had the Java pancake (with leek and turkey in peanut sauce). Okay... next time we'll try some of the sweet pancakes. The peanut sauce was sadly not really my cup of tea...

Weekend = cake time.
Strawberry cake. Really, I think it's amazing what kind of helping products we have. Else I might not be able to pull of this kind of cream/filling.

The award for creative decoration ideas goes to Mel. I only put the strawberries on top and then... didn't know what kind of things we still had at home ^^;;;

Before anybody goes "OMG! The strawberries must be 5 cm or bigger". Nope, they aren't. The cake is tiny. Here right next to a normal sized postcard.

And the inside.

Question: I know a few of you have cute and tiny netbooks. Could you please tell me which ones you've got and say something about noises, does the thing get HOT after 10 minutes of working with it, battery life and... just advertise yours, if you want to ^^;;,
I was thinking about either this, this Samsung [as my colleague is dead happy with his] or this ASUS one.
Yeah, this means, no Coach handbag for the time being ^_~;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
